My life in a nutshell [so far].

The Penniless Fashionista
Lately, I've been trying to find my style in photography, and just in time, I was one of the selected three students in my whole school to shoot for the Penniless Fashionista. Penniless Fashionista is a local Canadian clothing collection designed by two young hip Canadian girls, and I'm going to be shooting for their next catalogue! It costs thousands of dollars for our district to create this program. It consists of two days (April 22nd & 23rd) of "Fashion Photography Bootcamp" with world renowned photographer - Victor John Penner. He's amazing to work with and he's taught all of us young students so much in this art field. On May 6th, Penniless is having a fashion show at Capilano Mall and we'll be shooting runway shots, then on May 7th we'll be shooting the models around Yaletown for the Penniless Fall Collection. Six people's photographs will be chosen to be published in the newspaper, but I could honestly care less if I get chosen or not. I'm still shocked that I was chosen by my teacher to do this. Oh, and for those fashion guru's (or those who just like watching the fashion channel), we're also working with Jon Paul Holt (famous hairdresser) who I've seen on t.v. You could say I was a little starstruck at orientation night. This has been an amazing experience so far, and it's only been two days. At the end of the Penniless/AFK photoshoot I'll make sure to post the pictures of the models :) Here's a sneak preview: CLICK!

Lady HUSKIES!
First volleyball, next up: basketball! I see these girls every week and I love it. They're the reason that I'm keeping up with my exercise (and the reason I've lost around 8 pounds! Eeeek!). We make each other better and we just work. Best of all, it's funnnn! Every single practice has been great and I think this is the first time I've actually looked forward to basketball practice, haha! Flo, if you're reading this, tell Mike he's doing an awesome job coaching and especially putting his time in and finding us gyms and stuff (and no, I'm not sucking up so we don't have to do line) and to make things better ... our jersey's look siiiiick!

And finally ... Boyfriend (and dog!)
We've reached the big 1 year! And what an amazing 1 year it's been. If we can get through this year, we can get through anything. School, basketball and other things have tried to get in the way, but they failed. On our 1 year, we kept it sweet and simple :) Drove around (he got his N! Yay!), ate some food, walked around second beach in the rain and watched the hockey game. No fancy dinner, expensive gifts or a perfectly planned date ... I couldn't have had it any other way. Yeah, yeah, our anniversary date is 4.20! We managed to have a smoke-free anniversary :) <3 Oh and for the dog? Yeah, he still smells. But we're trying to fix that and bought him treats that makes his breath smell good. I love my doggy <3 :)

Yours truly,

FEARLESS.
